Social Work Services
Staff social workers provide Peabody residents and families with a variety of services to ensure needs and desires are being met on a daily basis, with the assurance of complete confidentiality. Whether a praise for staff excellence, a need for referral to community organizations, or to request assistance on a particular issue, the Social Services staff are here to help make your new home more enjoyable.
Social Services Coordinators at Peabody Retirement Community are professionals who partner with residents, family members and co-workers to assist residents to live life to its fullest. It is our single goal to maintain a homelike environment, with the comfort of security and a sense of belonging for our residents and their families.
Social Services Coordinators play an active role in the admissions process, helping to determine the best level of care for residents, and provide emotional support to both residents and their families during times of transition.
Social Services Coordinators also assist with:
- Assessment of resident needs
- Information about and access to services and resources
- Long-range planning and decision making
- Care planning to meet resident needs and preferences
- Supportive counseling to increase coping with transitions
- Advocacy to ensure that residents' rights are respected
If you have questions regarding the Social Services Department, or need to request confidential assistance from a Peabody social work professional, please phone our main switchboard and ask to speak to the Social Worker in the specific neighborhood your family member is living.
