Pastoral Services

The Peabody Memorial Chapel, with its original working pipe organ, hosts many of the spiritual activities on campus. Led by our staff Director of Spiritual Life Services or one of numerous community religious leaders, services are held on a regular schedule and conducted in the tradition of various denominations. Because our primary in-house worship service is conducted on Sunday afternoon, many residents enjoy returning to their home congregation for morning worship.
Peabody staff and resident families routinely join the congregation of any given service. Please join us on Sunday at 2:30PM.

Our Director of Spiritual Life Services is available for family and religious counseling and will gladly contact the minister of your choice for additional support. Our director is available whenever needed for rapid changes in health, to celebrate a life milestone, or when a member of our family goes home to be with the Lord. Often, residents come to view Peabody as their home, and our congregation as their home church. In time of passing, our spiritual leader is available to conduct funeral services. Peabody policy prohibits our staff ministers from accepting a stipend or honorarium If giving is an important part of your grieving, please consider instead a gift to one of our campus ministries.
For more information about the Spiritual Life Services available to residents of Peabody Retirement Community and the North Manchester community at large, please phone our main switchboard and ask for the Director of Spiritual Life Services.
