Peabody Retirement Community and Northeastern Indiana Radio Reading Service Team-Up For Immediate Release North Manchester, IN – Peabody Retirement Community and the Northeastern Indiana Radio Reading Service (NEIRRS) have combined their efforts serving over 330 Peabody residents. NEIRRS is a non-profit organization associated with the Allen County Public Library Foundation. Versus providing costly multiple special receiver radios, Peabody is broadcasting NEIRRS services through their established in-house cable television system. This collaborative process will direct Peabody residents who experience low vision, are blind, or with other reading challenges with NEIRRS’ 24-hour services. With a daily schedule, NEIRRS provides the reading of dozens of regional newspapers and national magazines, as well as offering special news and information programs. Established in 1931, Peabody is fully licensed. The campus is comprised of a 48 bed Memory Enhancement Center, 144 long term care beds, 24 assisted living residences, and 57 cottage (independent) living homes. For additional information, call 800.545.6220 or visit www.peabodyrc.org. NEIRRS was established nearly 30 years ago. Detailed information can be found at www.acpl.lib.in.us/neirrs or by calling 260.421.1376.
