Deferred Gifts

Gifts by will, or bequests, allow friends of the Peabody Home Foundation to give in ways they may not have been able to during their lifetime. Bequests can take various forms.

Undesignated Bequest - This type of bequest allows the funds to be used wherever they are needed most at the time they are received. Because needs change and Peabody must respond, an undesignated bequest provides us the greatest flexibility to respond where contributions are needed when the bequest is received.

Designated or Restricted Bequest - This allows the donor to choose, or restrict, how their bequest will be used once Peabody receives it. For example, the donor may bequest a specific dollar amount or a percentage of their estate. A designated bequest allows the donor to specify that their gift go to certain use such as Benevolent care, Residential Programming, Endowment, or Capital Improvement.

Residuary Bequest
- This form of bequest provides that Peabody will receive all or part of the donor's estate after all other obligations have been satisfied. A remainder portion of your estate comes to our ministry, allowing us to continue our tradition of serving older adults who so very much deserve our care and respect.
