Peabody Retirement Community continues to strive to be the employer of choice!

North Manchester, IN – January 24, 2012 – Peabody Retirement Community is a continuing care community of lifestyle choices from Independent Living to 24 hour care. Peabody is a not for profit community, focusing on enriching lives through all phases of retirement.
In recent months, Peabody Retirement Community has added to their leadership team. “We as a team, says Executive Director, Jeff Jarecki, have so much more we can now accomplish. By combining our strength and skill sets, we each have the ability (as a team) to significantly impact the direction of Peabody Retirement Community and to lay the groundwork for continued success.”
Recently added to the leadership team is Angela Woolard as a Residency Counselor. Angela holds a B.S. from Indiana University’s School of Business and Management Sciences.  She has over 8 years of sales and marketing experience as both a director of Mary Kay Cosmetics and a Lead Presenter for Weight Watchers motivational meetings and goal setting. She is married to her husband Jason. They live in Huntington with their children, Olivia, Alyssa, Emma, Owen, and Sabrina.
Sue Roesner had joined the Peabody Retirement Community in April 2011 and leads the marketing efforts as Director of Marketing. Sue has over 25 years in sales and marketing experience and currently serves as Past President of the Board of North Manchester Chamber of Commerce; she sits on the board for Manchester Economic Development and is active in Manchester Main Street Promotion & Art committee. She holds a Master’s of Science in Organizational Leadership from Indiana Tech. Her undergraduate degree is a B.S. in Technical Sales, with a Minor in Communications from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. Sue is married to her husband Russ. Together they have five children, Benjamin, Jacob, Andrea, Joshua, and Mason.
Leona Campbell, Marketing Assistant, completes the Sales and Marketing team as they focus on sales and occupancy for Independent and Assisted Living. She came to Peabody in 2009 as a Recreation Coordinator. Leona holds an Associate’s Degree from Harrison College in Business Management with a continued effort on her B.S In Business Management. Leona and her daughter Colson live here in Manchester.
Peabody continues to strive to be the community and employer of choice in the state of Indiana, and a vital resource for celebrating the ageless spirit through grace, compassion and respect for all.

Peabody Retirement Community continues to build upon the “Peabody Home Foundation’

Stan Williams was recently hired as the Director of Development by the Peabody Home Foundation. He comes with over 20 years experience in sales, sales management, customer service and marketing. Stan was most recently a Residency Counselor for Peabody Retirement Community in t he sales and marketing team. He is an alumnus of Anderson University where he received his B.S. in Psychology. Stan resides in North Manchester, IN with his wife, Lisa. They have two boys, Kyle and Alec.
Stan was employed at Peabody Retirement Community previously in 1991 – 1997 also engaging in sales, marketing and fundraising. “I carry a deep admiration for the Peabody Community. Both grandparents and now my mother lives at Peabody Retirement Community. My passion and conviction for “The Peabody Home Foundation” is much more than a job," says Williams.

Peabody Retirement Community ‘Celebrates the Ageless Spirit” with a “New Chef”!

North Manchester, IN – August 9, 2011 – Peabody Retirement Community is celebrating 80 years as a continuing care retirement community, offering a full spectrum of living choices. Peabody is a not for profit community, focusing on enriching lives through all phases of retirement.
Peabody recently hired James Houser, Executive Chef. Chef Houser comes with over 15 years experience in restaurant services. He was most recently Executive Chef for Parkview Health where he provided his culinary skills and expertise in food preparation and management of patient, restaurant and catered food services. He is an alumnus of Ivy Tech where he studied culinary arts for 2 years. Houser currently resides in Huntington, IN with his wife Tiffany of 14 years. They have four daughters and one son ranging from 13 years to 11 months in age.
 He is also owner / sculptor of Sub-Zero Ice Sculptures; Two pillars upon which Peabody will continue to build their record of service of quality and hospitality. “I look forward to sharing with our residents many of my specialties and experiences as a chef,” says Houser. Houser also brings over 17 years of professional ice sculpturing services in sculptures and block ice. He continues to compete on many levels throughout the calendar year.

"Chef Houser’s past experience in management in healthcare and restaurant style services in country clubs were a perfect match with our community. The management team we have assembled coupled with Houser’s experience and invaluable resources, offer us an environment of hospitality to all our residents and guests,” says Jarecki. Jarecki, a licensed Health Facility Administrator in Indiana, also brings over 20 years experience in senior living. He has served on various State Association Committees and is a former Executive Board Member with the Indiana Health Care Association. Houser also brings professional and personal catering services up to 10,000 in house and on site events. He is known to consistently change his menu choices and offers unlimited catering options.
